Meeting with the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Milan

Meeting with the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Milan

On Friday, February 7, the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Milan and Auxiliary Bishop, Msgr. Franco Agnesi, paid a visit to the centre and the community. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the entire community of sisters, the staff from the care and administrative areas, and the Mayor of Albese.

The visit began with an initial moment of encounter with the reality of the centre, including a tour of the vegetative and assisted care areas. Msgr. Agnesi greeted patients, families, and staff, showing great closeness to the entire hospital community and offering his blessing. This was followed by a meeting with the Superior General and the community of sisters. During this time, Sister Idilia expressed her gratitude for the visit and presented him with a congregational gift and a donation. She also shared with the Vicar the general guidelines of the Congregation in this time of restructuring and revitalisation, as well as the challenges of pastoral work, especially in the areas of youth ministry and healthcare.

The meeting concluded with a moment of prayer in the centre’s chapel, bringing together the hospital family in an atmosphere of recollection and communion. Finally, in the community dining room, sweets prepared by a group of families were shared, along with refreshments, bringing the gathering to a close in a fraternal and welcoming spirit.

It was a family-like, warm, and serene encounter, deeply appreciated by all for the presence and witness of Msgr. Franco Agnesi.
