“Late have I loved You, Beauty ever ancient, ever new, late have I loved You!… You were with me, but I was not with You.” (Confessions)
El Padre Benito Menni nos lo confió como protector de la Congregación (C. del P. Menni 600); y nos invitaba a seguir su ejemplo:
“Lord, I distrust myself, but give me what You will and command what You will; grant me the grace and the strength to suffer and to do what You will.”
(C. del P. Menni 451)
The Rule of Saint Augustine has been, since our beginnings, a Gospel path for the Congregation, which—together with our Constitutions—guides us to live our hospitalarian identity with faith and devotion.
Prayer through the intercession of Saint Augustine
God our Father, we thank You,
for in Saint Augustine You have given us a model and an inspiration
to journey tirelessly toward You.
Grant that our hearts may not rest until they rest in You;
may fraternal charity grow among us,
and may we live our hospitalarian mission with fidelity and love.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
