From 15 to 20 August 2026, the Vice-Province of Vietnam was delighted to welcome the visit of Sister María Begoña, Vicar General; Sister María Carmen, General Councillor; and Sister María Antonia, General Treasurer.

Accompanied by the sisters of the Vice-Provincial Government, they visited various communities and mission centres, including Đông Hải, Chu Hải, Saigòn, Hố Nai, Lạc An, Tà Pao and Xuân Hưng. The visit provided an opportunity to come closer to the reality of the communities and to share with the sisters the richness and challenges of their hospitality mission.

Sharing Life and Strengthening Communion

During these encounters, the Sisters of the General Government were able to learn more about the life of the communities, listen to the sisters’ concerns and share in their daily experience of service.

At the different centres they visited, they also had the opportunity to learn more about the mission of welcoming, caring for, accompanying and educating children, young people and people with disabilities and those experiencing vulnerability.

The visit took place in an atmosphere of fraternity and simplicity, as an opportunity to meet, listen to one another and share life through the vocation and charism that unite the entire Congregation.

An Encouragement to Continue Walking Together

These days of encounter were a sign of communion, fraternity and collaboration between the General Government and the Vice-Province of Vietnam. At the same time, they provided encouragement to continue strengthening the hospitality mission and to respond, with joy and dedication, to the needs of the most vulnerable people.

The visit reminds us that Hospitality is also built through encounter, listening and walking together, renewing each day our commitment to placing people and their dignity at the centre.x
