With Jesus to the Young, Kindling the Flame of Hospitality

From October 27 to 31, the Sisters Hospitallers held the General Meeting of Youth and Vocational Ministry in Rome. Under the theme “With Jesus to the young, rekindling the flame of Hospitality,” 20 sisters from different parts of the world gathered to listen, discern, and strengthen their mission with young people.

They were days of prayer, reflection, and shared work, guided by the desire to ignite the fire of the hospitaller charism in the hearts of young people.

Now that the meeting has concluded, we return to our communities grateful for the gift of the vocation entrusted to us, and sent forth to bear witness before young people to the joy of following Jesus.

We carry with us good news: God continues to call!

We also bring a renewed commitment: to listen to young people, to learn from them, and to invite them to take part in the mission—especially where suffering and poverty most need the presence of Hospitality.

Among the challenges we embrace are promoting a vocational culture that helps to discover the different ways God calls, and accompanying young people in caring for their mental health, so that they may grow integrally in faith, hope, and service.
