When a Word Restores Hope

There are testimonies that move us because they speak of real wounds. And there are words that remain in our hearts because they remind us that, even in the midst of suffering, God is still present.

After listening to the testimony of a young woman who shared a childhood marked by violence and abandonment, Pope Leo XIV reflected on suffering, forgiveness, and hope. His words, in dialogue with the legacy of Saint Benedict Menni, invite us not to let evil have the final word, to trust that God walks with us, and to discover in charity a path to healing.

As the Hospitaller Sisters, we embrace this message and renew each day our commitment to listen, accompany, and care for those who suffer the most. Because even in stories marked by pain, a path toward hope can always be opened.
