The new Province of Spain commences operation

27 November 2015, marked the end of the Joint Evaluation Assembly for the three Spanish Provinces of the Congregation of Sisters Hospitallers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The conference began on the 21st of this month, at the Fray Luís de León conference centre in Guadarrama (Madrid).

Our General Superior, Anabela Carneiro, presided over the Assembly, alongside the General Minister, Ester Berruete. During the assembly, a programme was developed for the 2016-2018 triennial. It was attended by 61 sisters and 41 collaborators, who have participated in the paths relative to the Shared Mission and Hospitaller Work.

In addition, it was the culmination of the renewal and restructuring process for the creation of a province in Spain, promoted and coordinated by the Hospitaller Commission of Spain, in response to an agreement from the XX General Chapter which took place in Rome in 2012.
