INTER NOS PROJECT

Multi-centre research has been started with questionnaires addressed to the professionals of the Sisters Hospitallers in their centres in Spain, Portugal and Italy in order to assess their opinions on mental disorders.

At Sisters Hospitallers there has always been a keen interest in improving the quality of the services by means of training, development and research. Over the past few years, the Hospitaller Sisters Inter-provincial Research Council has coordinated various multi-centre research projects, combining the efforts from different provinces.

The “Inter Nos” Project is a research programme designed and promoted by said council, at an international level, in which professionals from the centres in Spain, Portugal and Italy take part and, by means of voluntary and anonymous questionnaires whose objective is to assess the opinions and attitudes of the professionals towards the mental disorders. The professionals taking part in the study will be those working in the centres dedicated to looking after those with mental disorders, belonging to different professional categories, both assistance and non-assistance staff.

The main objective of the project is to better become acquainted with the variables having influence on the attitudes and opinions of the professionals and therefore take the necessary action and training. All this will have a direct influence on improvement in the quality of the service received by the users.

In order to encourage the participation of the maximum number of collaborators in the project, an online questionnaire has been set up on a web page (kindly provided by Global Media, usual collaborator for research in Italy). All those wishing to participate can access the same directly during the project dates (from the 6th of May to the 30th of June 2013) by clicking on the following link: Questionnaire
