We are on the way to the XXII General Chapter, which will be held from April 24 to May 26 of this year in Rome, Italy. For this reason, we would like to share with you the message of some of the capitulars sisters who have shared with us their wishes for this crucial moment in the life of our Congregation.

What is the General Chapter?
Every six years, we gather as a congregation, convoked by the Superior General, to discern together the paths that God invites us to follow in the coming years. Under the motto “Clothe yourselves with the bowels of mercy,” taken from the Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians 3:12, we prepare ourselves for this time of prayer, reflection and fraternal discernment.

The General Chapter is not simply an administrative meeting, but an act of prayerful obedience to the Holy Spirit. We open ourselves to his guidance, collaborating actively and responsibly, to discern what God wants for our community. Although it is a community process, it is important that each sister lives it in her own way, seeking to live fully the charism that God has entrusted to us.

Messages and wishes from our sisters

We share with you the messages of some of the capitulars sisters, who represent their provinces in this meeting:

“I hope that the General Chapter will help every sister to have “a burning heart and quick steps” to spread the Good News of God’s Mercy.”
Sr. Anna Nguyễn Thị Thanh Bình
Sister capitular of the Vice-Province of Vietnam.

“May mercy guide our pastoral commitment and renew the life of our communities.”
Sister Nicole Mayinga
Sister Capitular of the Province of France

“A deep desire: make of us, consecrated Lord! Men and women of mercy, capable of spreading and witnessing in person and as a hospitaller community the MERCY that our world needs so much.”
Sr. Angela Du Dui
Sister Capitular of the Province of Italy
