Commission for Solidarity and International Cooperation

The Commission for Solidarity and International Cooperation took part in a workshop on Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation, organized by the International Union of Superiors General (UISG) and the Union of Superiors General (USG), held from February 16 to 20 in Rome, both in person and online.

Representing the Commission were three of its members: Sr. Mª Begoña Pérez, Sr. Zenyril Padla, and Margherita Welian Mosaad.

In response to the current global socioeconomic and environmental crisis, and in light of the Social Doctrine of the Church, congregational guidelines, and other multilateral frameworks, the Commission reaffirms its commitment to promoting justice, peace, and care for the environment throughout the Congregation. This mission is carried out through mutual support and collaboration among the various circumscriptions and other entities that share our vision and charism.

The workshop provided participants with training in knowledge, skills, and attitudes to advance justice, peace, and the integrity of creation, using the “See – Judge/Discern – Act” methodology.

As a result of this experience, the Commission is committed to developing an action plan for the Congregation, integrating the learnings acquired and directing them toward concrete actions.
