Our charism urges us not to pass by in the face of suffering. Faithful to our hospital vocation, and with the desire to be generators of life and hope where health reaches its limits, today we turn our gaze to Angola.
In the city of Lubango, many people face mental illness and epilepsy under conditions of extreme vulnerability. For this reason, the Arimba Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center has launched the “Healthy Mind” project—an integral initiative that combines human warmth with professional excellence in service, aimed at transforming lives.
This project focuses on:
- Awareness-raising: Promoting training and mental health first aid in five nearby cities, combating stigma.
- Continuity of care: Ensuring that patients with psychotic disorders receive follow-up care in their homes and have access to the medication necessary for clinical stabilization.
- Global commitment: Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal No. 3 of the United Nations, we seek to reduce premature mortality and promote overall well-being.
Our healing mission is only possible thanks to the unity of our community: sisters, staff, volunteers, and people like you. We invite you to be part of this project and help more people in Angola embrace their illness with dignity.
