Young Hospitality: The Testimony of Kiza Marie

Hospitalidad Joven: el testimonio de Kiza Marie

Kiza Marie Minanet Sibazor shares how her participation in the Hygiene Camp 2022 deepened her understanding of mercy, love, and compassion. During the camp, she had the opportunity to learn about the life of St. Benedict Menni and admire Inshomisipu’s commitment to others.

“What touched me most was seeing how they dedicated themselves to helping others, combining service with moments of joy, like Zumba and participation in church,” Kiza shares.

The experience also reminded her of her time as a shadow teacher at the Guardian Angel Learning Center, working with children with special needs.
“I learned so much about patience, understanding, and unconditional love. Observing the resilience and small victories of each day taught me the true meaning of mercy and compassion. It was challenging but an incredibly rewarding experience that shaped my perspective on life and service.”

Kiza encourages all young people to show hospitality and mercy in their daily lives.
“We can start by being kind and helpful to those around us. Even the smallest acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact. Showing mercy and hospitality means treating everyone with respect, dignity, and love — recognizing each person’s worth and extending a helping hand to those in need.”
