This month, as we commemorate both the birth and death of our beloved foundress, María Angustias Giménez, we would like to share a special testimony from the Philippines. Manilyn Delatado, a dedicated collaborator of the Delegation in this country, tells us about her experience and how the legacy of María Angustias has influenced her daily mission.

How long have you been with the Sisters Hospitallers?

I have worked with the Hospitaller Sisters for 16 years.

What is your mission within the Hospitaller Sisters?

I am a receptionist at the Maria Josefa Recio Therapeutic Center in San Jose, Cebu, Philippines.

In this month of commemoration of our foundress, how does the example and legacy of María Angustias Giménez Vera influence your life?

The example of María Angustias inspires me deeply in my daily work. Her simplicity and her dedication as a working sister motivate me to continue serving with love and commitment.

Sisters Hospitallers is present in 25 countries, managing more than 88 healthcare centers in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America. With each step we take, we continue to follow the example of our foundress, dedicating ourselves with hospitality to serve those who suffer and the most vulnerable, reaffirming our commitment to the mission bequeathed to us by María Angustias throughout the world.
