👉 Did you know that in 2024 Sisters Hospitallers will hold our General Chapter?

Sr Anabela, General Superior of the Congregation, tells us more about this great event for the entire Hospitaller Family in this article

What is the General Chapter of Sisters Hospitallers and why is it so important for the congregation?

The General Chapter of our Congregation of Sisters Hospitallers is that congregational event at which all Sisters are represented, through those who are delegates to the Chapter. It´s a time to look at our life, to renew our life as consecrated Hospitallers, and to plan our apostolic mission.

Could you share with us the chosen theme and its meaning?

The theme of the Chapter is “Clothe yourselves with the bowels of God’s mercy” and its subtitle is “Prophetic signs of hope and of God’s closeness to suffering humanity”. In some way we can find in this theme a horizon that is to clothe ourselves with the bowels of God’s mercy and to do so by renewing our lives to be those prophetic signs of hope and at the same time to be able to draw close, with the same mercy of God, to suffering humanity.

Regarding the General Chapter, What message or reflection would you give to the entire Hospitaller Community and to those who follow the work of Sisters Hospitallers?

We are in General Chapter and we are asking for your contribution, your closeness, through prayer, we are really counting on your prayer and also your suggestions. If you would like to send us words of encouragement, suggestions, and what you consider important to say to us as Hospitaller Sisters to be faithful to our mission in the Church and the world, please do so.
