Letters to Our Founders

The charism of hospitality identifies us more and more with the compassionate and healing Jesus, who walked the world curing all and doing good. In this special month, we want to return to our origins, to give thanks for the path we’ve traveled and to open our hearts to the future with hope.

As we prepare to celebrate a new anniversary of our Congregation this coming May 31, we invite you to write a letter addressed to our founders: Saint Benedict Menni, María Josefa Recio, and María Angustias Giménez.

What can you write to them about?
– To thank them for their mission and the legacy they planted.
– To share the values you have received and that continue to inspire you today.
– To tell how Hospitality has transformed your perspective, your service, your faith.

Write freely, from your own experience. If you wish, you can also accompany your letter with a concrete gesture of hospitality: a visit, listening to someone, a smile. Because love always leaves a mark.

That’s exactly what Manuel did—a collaborator since 2006—who shared these heartfelt words with us:
“I want to thank you. Without you, it would have been impossible for me to feel fulfilled as a Christian, because from the very first day of my work until today, I have lived the Gospel as you did, Saint Benedict, serving with love and with heart.”

Claudia also joined this initiative and shared the following words:
“Hospitality came to me through my formation as a Lay person and now as a collaborator. It is a challenge to imitate the attitudes of the Good Samaritan—only by the grace of God is this possible.”

From his experience, Patricio wrote a letter that reflects how deeply the legacy of hospitality has impacted his life:
“We ask you to intercede for us before God, so that we may continue forward with faithfulness, joy, and generous dedication, even amid the challenges we face daily. May we never lack the faith, hope, and charity that you so courageously embodied.”

Would you like to write your own letter?
You can send it through this form until May 25, 2025.

Thank you for continuing to build, day by day, a Hospitality that welcomes, humanizes, and transforms.
