Young Hospitality: a transformative service experience

Volunteering is much more than giving time: it is an act of dedication, empathy and openness to others. It is also a concrete way of living hospitality, especially when it is done from the heart, as Carolina Costa Bicho lives it.

Carolina is a volunteer at the Sisters Hospitallers’ center in Condeixa-a-Nova, Portugal. She has only recently started on this path, but she has already discovered that being at the service of those who need it most is not only a gesture of love, but also a deeply transforming experience.

Through her testimony, she reminds us that youth volunteering is a unique opportunity to grow, learn and give meaning to life from the encounter with others.
