International webinars on the mental health of young people – promoted by Salesians Don Bosco

This March, the working group of the Order of St. John of God and the Hospitaller Sisters dedicated to mental health, in collaboration with the Brussels office of Hospitality Europe, will lead an important initiative promoted by the Salesians Don Bosco on the theme of mental health among young people. It will consist of a series of international webinars dedicated to the main causes and manifestations of mental illness and psychiatric disorders among today’s adolescents and young people: eating disorders, juvenile depression, bullying, risks of self-harm and suicide, and trauma among immigrant or refugee minors.

The international webinars organized by the Salesians Don Bosco will take place from March 12 to 21 with a double session: the first at 8:00 a.m. for Asia and Oceania, and a subsequent repeat at 6:00 p.m. for Europe, Africa and America.

The speakers for the webinars will be the Order’s and the Hospitaller Sisters’ co-workers who make up the working group on mental health, together with other co-workers who work in some psychiatric institutions in the European Provinces.

The webinars are addressed to the teaching staff and educators of the Salesian Centres around the world, but participation is also free of charge and open to the Order’s and the Hospitaller Sisters’ religious and co-workers.

The webinars programme and the link with the access credentials can be found in the attached poster.
