The Benito Menni Foundation of Sisters Hospitallers organizes a virtual colloquium, broadcast from Facebook Live, in which mental health in times of Covid-19 will be discussed, under testimonies of sisters and collaborators of our institutioon from Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The online forum will take place on December 15 at 4:00 p.m. (Spanish time), and the platform chosen to connect with the speakers is Zoom.

In this talk we seek to defend the importance of mental health care and understand how the emergency situation caused by the pandemic affects the regions where we cooperate. To do this, we will have the participation of mental health specialists and we will present some experiences from the field with our local counterparts – Mental Health Centers of Hermanas Hospitalarias in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The Fundación Benito Menni wants to sensitize public entities and society in general about the inescapable need to contribute to the development of mental health care, and contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 “Health and Well-being ”and especially to the goal 3.4:“ By 2030 (…) promote mental health and well-being ”.
