We began our work invoking the Holy Spirit, asking help to be open in order to discover the paths where the Lord wants us to travel.

Tuesday, December 9

Today, Tuesday 9th we began our work invoking the Holy Spirit, asking help to be open in order to discover the paths where the Lord wants us to travel.

During the morning section, we continued with the presentation of the communities and Mission from the countries that were pending from yesterday. We were able to verify with joy the richness that the charism of Hospitality enfolds the energy that is released in every reality and the passion with which sisters and co-workers carry out the hospitaller work.

Finishing this part, we shared the following questions in groups:

–        After listening to the various realities presented what aspects for which I give thanks?

–         From what we have seen, which are the challenges that we have perceived?

–         Other aspects

In the afternoon we counted with the presence of Fr. Emmanuel Typamm CM, He is aReligious Priest cooperates with our sisters in Cameroon for 15 years; He was Secretary of COSMAM and is an expert in religious life in Africa as well.

Fr. Emmanuel briefly presented the history of evangelization in Africa and placed us at the present, highlighting the need for Africans to be their own evangelists.

This helped us to reflect on some aspects to be taken into account in our task of evangelization. The following were highlighted: the need of being witness, fraternal life, the responsibility of the authority and permanent formation.

The need to work together in evangelising and to satisfy the “thirst of Africa” Among the thirsts the following were also highlighted, thirst for hope, the thirst for God, enculturation and the thirst for peace.

Before the session ended a space for dialogue was opened among the sisters, this exchange was enriching for all participants.
