{"id":52292,"date":"2021-10-13T08:16:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-13T08:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hospitalarias.org\/en\/?p=52292"},"modified":"2021-10-13T08:16:00","modified_gmt":"2021-10-13T08:16:00","slug":"sisters-hospitallers-celebrate-an-extraordinary-general-chapter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hospitalarias.org\/en\/sisters-hospitallers-celebrate-an-extraordinary-general-chapter\/","title":{"rendered":"Sisters Hospitallers celebrate an extraordinary General Chapter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><strong>The Constitutions are the fundamental law of our Institute [&#8230;]; They express the way we live the Gospel through our Religious Consecration to the Hospitaller life&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Message to the whole HOSPITALLER COMMUNITY <\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I\nam writing to all the members of the Hospitaller Community &#8211; patients,\nco-workers, loved ones, volunteers, benefactors, friends and sisters &#8211; with a\ngreeting of Peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\nwould like to inform you all that in January 2022 we shall be celebrating the <strong>Extraordinary\nGeneral Chapter<\/strong> in Rome, for the purpose of studying and approving, if\nappropriate, the new text of our Constitutions which constitute the fundamental\nlaw of our Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\nwould like to share with all of you this most important moment for the Congregation,\nbecause each one of you, as members of the Hospitaller Community participate,\nin your different ways, in the same charismatic spirit bequeathed to us by our\nFounders and which has been embodied over time in the various constitutional\ntexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2018 we have been engaged on a journey of\nprayer, reflection and participation on our &#8220;Rule of life&#8221;. Now we\nwill begin the Chapter process with a preparatory phase performed online,\nstarting on 15 October and ending on 18 December, and an in-person phase with\nthe celebration of the Chapter itself, from 10 to 30 January 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are asking for the prayers of all those of you who\nare living the Christian faith in your lives or sharing that human\ncompanionship that distinguishes all of us as parties in the Hospitaller\nmission serving suffering humanity, to accompany us, in this undertaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, as we celebrate <strong>World Mental Health Day<\/strong>\nthis year under the slogan: <em>Mental Health Care for All: Let&#8217;s Make it Happe<\/em>n,\nI wish to take this opportunity to thank the entire Hospitaller Community for\nyour commitment to those with mental illness and urge us all to renew our\nefforts on their behalf; they have always been marginalised on account of their\nillness and this year the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the\nmental health of everyone, particularly on the weakest and those most exposed\nto contagion because of their profession. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I join the sisters of the General Government in sending you my\nhospitaller best wishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rome,\n10 October 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anabela Carneiro,  General Superior  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Constitutions are the fundamental law of our Institute [&#8230;]; They express the way we live the Gospel through our Religious Consecration to the Hospitaller life&#8221;.
