March 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cooperation\nembraces others<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This year, instead of having a\nsolidarity project to bring the entire congregation together, we have chosen to\nsupport the Benedict Menni Foundation (BMF) to collaborate on development\nprojects at the various Sisters Hospitallers centres across Africa, Asia, and\nLatin America.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2018I would like to conclude this message\nby announcing that for 2021, we will not be supporting a specific solidarity\nproject; the donations from the communities and centres will instead go\ndirectly to the Benedict Menni Foundation (BMF), which will allocate the\ndonations to the various existing projects presented\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is how the Superior General of\nSisters Hospitallers announced that this year, instead of having a solidarity\nproject that brings the entire congregation together, Sisters Hospitallers have\nchosen to support the Benedict Menni Foundation to enable its collaboration on\ndevelopment projects at the various Sisters Hospitallers centres across Africa,\nAsia, and Latin America. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation invites us to collaborate\non this new initiative with the motto: <strong>\u2018Cooperation embraces others\u2019<\/strong>.\nDuring the Covid-19 pandemic, we find ourselves far from each other and, in\nmany cases, far from our beloved ones and feeling lonely. But there is always\nsomething to do; the Benedict Menni Foundation continues to collaborate,\nknowing that to cooperate means to embrace others. It means being with others\nwhen they need it the most, bringing them hope and working together to\nguarantee health, education, and opportunities for everyone, everywhere in the\nworld. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Benedict Menni Foundation \u2018A\ncommitment with mental health\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Benedict Menni Foundation was founded on July 8<sup>th<\/sup>, 2004, with the support of the Congregation of the Sisters Hospitallers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with the purpose of \u201ccarrying out actions geared towards development cooperation and international and national humanitarian aid with a special focus on the most disadvantaged countries and people\u201d. <strong>The Benedict Menni Foundation (BMF) specialises in cooperating with development in the field of mental health to prevent and improve the conditions of thousands of people experiencing marginalisation and exclusion across America, Africa, and Asia. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation\u2019s objective is to carry\nout actions oriented towards cooperating with development and national and\ninternational humanitarian aid, with a special focus on the most disadvantaged\ncountries and people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation recognises the humanitarian principles of the United Nations\u2019 world summits, the guidelines and policies of the European Union on international cooperation, and the 2030 Agenda. It strives to promote human development, considering all facets of a person, so that society can become an agent of change for justice.
