The Benito Menni Foundation<\/a>, of Sisters Hospitallers<\/a>, (FBM) works in the field of development cooperation in countries with scarce resources and \/ or little or no health and psychological coverage, with the aim of helping the treatment of mental illnesses, as well as eliminating the stigmatization of those who suffer them, contributing to the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 “Health and Well-being”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the year 2019, the FBM has acted in very concrete realities, managing cooperation projects development mainly in the area of mental health, in 12 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia out of the 24 countries in wich is present the Congregation of Sisters Hospitallers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In adittion, the Foundation has supported training and education projects and has developed training activities both within the international volunteer program and within the Basque Cooperative Program.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\nevery year, the Sponsorship Program has been managed to facilitate access to\neducation for children and adolescents in African countries, and the\nInternational Volunteering Program has been carried out, in which young people\nhave the possibility of a voluntary experience in Africa and Asia, promoting\nthe commitment of society in the area of mental health. Finally,\nawareness-raising activities have been carried out on the mental health\nsituation in disadvantaged countries, as well as fund-raising events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nBenito Menni Foundation has participated as a member of various NGDO platforms\nin specialized and coordination events in order to increase articulation with\nother development cooperation actors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Report presents all the actions and projects carried out by the Benito Menni Foundation during 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
