{"id":51406,"date":"2020-07-27T07:30:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-27T07:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hospitalarias.org\/en\/?p=51406"},"modified":"2020-07-27T07:30:00","modified_gmt":"2020-07-27T07:30:00","slug":"the-be-water-project-is-moving-forward-remotely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hospitalarias.org\/en\/the-be-water-project-is-moving-forward-remotely\/","title":{"rendered":"The &#8220;BE WATER&#8221; project is moving forward remotely"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Hospitality Europe (se abre en una nueva pesta\u00f1a)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hospitality-europe.eu\/en\/homepage\" target=\"_blank\">Hospitality Europe<\/a><\/strong> is a partner in the <strong>&#8220;BE WATER&#8221; project, in which <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Sisters Hospitallers (se abre en una nueva pesta\u00f1a)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hospitalarias.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sisters Hospitallers<\/a> collaborates, with the aim of contributing to the promotion and dissemination of its innovative activities in Europe<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"The San Jos\u00e9 Institute Foundation (se abre en una nueva pesta\u00f1a)\" href=\"https:\/\/fundacioninstitutosanjose.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The San Jos\u00e9 Institute Foundation<\/a>, the co-ordinator of the European BE WATER project, has set about adjusting work on the project to take account of the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus emergency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Last March, the first training course was run remotely<\/strong> with the Irish partners (the Order) and the Portuguese partners (the Sisters Hospitallers) <strong>by video conference<\/strong>. <strong>This session discussed the various operational modes of water-learning<\/strong>: the Halliwick method (the precursor to aquatic learning), physiotherapy, speech therapy, logopaedics and occupational therapy in water. <strong>Practical cases were illustrated, according to the different degrees of disability of the pupils <\/strong>(children and adolescents). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The partners also began to work on producing <strong>intellectual products<\/strong> (primarily the teaching manual to apply this teaching method also in other care centres), the <strong>project\u2019s web page, and materials explaining the project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&#8220;BE WATER&#8221; project<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Financed in 2019 in response to the Erasmus+ call for strategic partnerships for school education, the initiative is entitled: <em><strong>&#8220;Transdisciplinary project based on Building Experiences on WATER through an educational and inclusive approach for students with intellectual disabilities&#8221;<\/strong> \u2013 <\/em>with the acronym BE WATER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It is a two-year partnership<\/strong>, with an EU grant of 195,000 euro.
