Testimonies of Mercy: Paula Caeiro

We would like to share Paula Caeiro’s testimony with you. She has been part of Saúde da Idanha for 12 years and this past Easter she experienced a very special moment:

“Hello, I am Paula Caieira, a collaborator with the Sisters Hospitallers, and I have been coming to Sintra for about 12 years.

I want to share with you a moment that touched me deeply this Easter. We welcomed the young people from Misión País here and proposed a challenge to them:

to accompany me in serenading a very special user who has been with us for 16 years.

A resident who does not communicate verbally, but for whom that moment meant a lot. They brought their guitars and we sang together with the resident.

It was wonderful to see her smile and the way she showed herself to me and the young people. She even thanked the young people for the moment, and I am sure that going to the kitchen makes all the difference in their lives, as it does in mine. It was a unique and wonderful moment.”

Thank you, Paula, for sharing your testimony of mercy.
