New agreements with the Brothers of San Juan de Dios

On the 7th of August, the Sisters Hospitallers signed a new cooperation agreement with the Brothers of San Juan de Dios.

The agreement contemplates the cooperation of the two institutions in the management of the office located in Brussels called “Hospitality Europe”, which the Brothers created some years ago, Mr. Carlo Galasso being responsible for the same.

Said agreement has two main objectives; the promotion of the importance of the Hospitallers within the European Union institutions, and also the possibility of cooperating with other similar religious institutions in the charisma, without leaving aside the responsible and specific use of the resources, which on the other hand are limited, being available for the Office.

The ceremony took place in the headquarters of the SJD Brothers in Rome, and was ratified by Anabela Carneiro, the Sisters Hospitallers General Superior and Jesús Etayo, the San Juan de Dios Brothers General Superior.  Sister Ana Lucia Castro, Sister Andrea Calvo (General Counsels), Sister Claudice Santana (General Bursar) and Brother José Luis Martínez, OH, also participated in the event.

After having signed the document, the Sisters and Brothers celebrated the Holy Communion and partook of a fraternal meal together.
