The award jury selected this school, linked to the Fundación Hospitalaria, for its “leadership in showcasing inspiring projects that lead us to a truly inclusive school.”
King Felipe VI will preside over the delivery of the Princess of Girona School of the Year Award at our Special Education School, Purísima Concepción, linked to Fundación Hospitalarias, which serves students with special educational needs such as functional, cognitive, physical/motor, and emotional control/explosion diversity.
Along with the highest authorities of the city and Andalusia, he will visit the educational center on Thursday, April 3rd, after the jury chose it for its “leadership in showcasing inspiring projects that lead us to a truly inclusive school.” This award rewards “the efforts of those who bet on the development of talent and educational innovation in favor of a fairer society and a better world.”
Under the slogan ‘I am capable, I am the protagonist,’ its main focus is the integral development of the person, regardless of limitations, and making them aware, based on their own possibilities and abilities, of their condition as a full-fledged citizen and an indispensable part of their social, school, and family group.
It also stands out as a reference center for diversity support, addressing education through innovation and taking on the role of mentoring other schools, highlighting the coordinated and committed work of its management team and teachers.
After a visit that will tour various spaces of the school to learn about the innovative projects, including the CeRA project, the King will present the award to the leaders and students in an event with families and the entire educational community.
