EASTER SUNDAY

With the coming of spring also comes the most important celebration for Christians: Easter. At this time of year, we remember and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God, who conquered death and opened the gates of eternal life.

Easter is a time of joy and hope. During Lent, we prepare ourselves spiritually for the arrival of this important moment. We repent of our sins, pray and draw closer to God through fasting and penance. All this helps us to understand the importance of Jesus’ Resurrection and prepares us to receive the grace of salvation.

During the Holy Week, we relive the last days of Jesus’ life on earth. From the triumphal entry into Jerusalem to his death on the Cross, we accompany our Lord on his journey to Resurrection. The liturgy of Holy Week helps us to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice for us and to renew our faith in Him.

Finally, on Easter Sunday, we celebrate Christ’s victory over death. It is a day of great joy and hope, for us to renew our faith in His Resurrection and in the eternal life that awaits us. It is a time to share with our family, friends and community, and to remember that we are united in Christ.

This Easter, let us remember that Jesus died and rose for us to offer us the gift of eternal life. Let us take advantage of this time to renew our faith, to draw closer to God and to share his love with others.

Sisters Hospitallers wish to join you with great joy in this great celebration. Because of LOVE, Christ defeated death and sin and gave us eternal life.
