Care Services

Mental Health

Specialized and comprehensive care is provided for both individuals with mental disorders and their families, which includes pharmacological treatment, psychotherapy, psychosocial rehabilitation, and support for social integration.

Care is continuous throughout the different phases of the illness—prevention, acute crises, and chronic stages. All this aims to help individuals with mental health issues recover their life projects with dignity and maintain an adequate quality of life.

Different types of services are offered:

  • acute, medium-term, or long-term hospitalization,
  • day hospital and outpatient consultations,
  • home care,
  • intermediate services, both daytime and residential, for people with long-term illnesses or those requiring greater community support, as well as initiatives to promote their employment integration.
  • Finally, there are also specialized services for specific conditions, such as the Therapeutic Community for individuals with personality disorders.

Psychogeriatrics

A social and healthcare service that provides comprehensive care for elderly individuals with multiple pathologies, functional and cognitive decline, and/or behavioral disorders.
Two modalities are offered: Residential and Day Unit.

Intellectual Disability

Centers equipped with resources and techniques that enable the fullest development of the abilities and skills of people with functional diversity, tailored to their different ages and needs:

  • Rehabilitative
  • Integrative
  • Occupational and work-related
  • Residential

Acquired Brain Injury

Multidisciplinary units dedicated to the neurorehabilitation of individuals with acquired brain injury, caused by traumatic brain injuries, strokes, or other reasons. These units offer therapies in neuropsychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy, in addition to the corresponding medical treatments. The aim is to foster the learning of a “new way of living,” encompassing physical, psychological, social, and family dimensions.

Palliative Care

Units for individuals in the advanced or terminal stage of illness who require specialized care focused on controlling physical symptoms and providing the psychological, social, and spiritual support needed to minimize the suffering of both the patient and their family.

General Medicine

General hospitals are facilities equipped with inpatient beds, operating rooms, and outpatient care services (emergency care, outpatient clinics, day hospital units, ambulatory surgery units, and physical rehabilitation gyms).
These hospitals are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and include central services (laboratories, diagnostic imaging, etc.) that support clinical care, offering a range of services adapted to the social and geographical context.
They provide a wide array of medical-surgical specialties and specialized units. They also engage in teaching and research activities.

Education

Hermanas Hospitalarias promotes and manages educational centers in various countries, tailored to the needs and expectations of the users and their families. These centers are always aligned with the hospitality values that characterize our Institution.

Other Areas

To promote the hospital mission, we develop additional care services aimed at fostering solidarity, social transformation, and access to social and healthcare services for those most in need.
