Every six years, a family visitation takes place to the hospitaller presences that are part of our congregation in different parts of the world. The main objective of this visitation is to strengthen and renew our communities, working together as a single body.

On this occasion, our General Government traveled to Latin America, inspired by the following motto: “Pathways for the future of Hospitality in Latin America”. We are committed to continue providing a hospitable, welcoming, and warm environment not only to those in need (especially the sick), but also to all our sisters. It is very important for our congregation to care for the community, for our mission of helping the most vulnerable is possible when there is union and communion among us.
Mª Esther Berruete (Vicar General) and Sister Isabel Santamaría (Secretary General) visited the communities and centers in Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador. This time, they traveled again to visit the communities and apostolic works in Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, and Uruguay.

The motto “Pathways for the future of Hospitality in Latin America” has moved us to approach the communities and assistance centers of the continent, and we have been able to personally accompany the life and mission that is carried out there.

It was moving to see the dedication of all our sisters and of so many volunteers in favor of people with mental illness, as well as to contemplate the way in which they live the hospitaller charism as part of their apostolic mission.

Let us continue to journey together!
