From May 16 to 24, the celebration of ‘Laudato Si Week’ of 2021 will take place, an event in which Catholics around the world celebrate the progress that the Church has made on its path of ecological conversion.

At Sisters Hospitallers we participate, one more year, in this campaign, following our hospitable, open and dynamic mission, which constitutes a force for social transformation without borders in favor of a healthier and more fraternal humanity.

“We know that things can change”

The theme chosen for the event was: “We know that things can change” (Laudato si ’13) and the dialogues and events of the week will sow that hope throughout the world. Laudato Si ’Week 2021 will also feature a diverse cast of Catholic leaders from around the world, as well as world-renowned speakers and authors.

Through live dialogues and Spirit-filled conversations, the 10-day celebration will highlight the great progress Catholics have made in bringing Laudato Si ‘to life and will inspire the faithful around the world to plan new actions with a view to the United Nations Conference on Biodiversity (COP15), the 26th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP26) and the next decade.

All events will be broadcast live through social networks. (You can check the complete schedule at this link: https://laudatosiweek.org/events/)

What is Laudato Si ‘Week?

Laudato Si ’Week is a global event sponsored by the Vatican from its Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development and promoted by the World Catholic Movement for Climate in collaboration with some 150 Catholic organizations. The objective is to inform, dialogue, promote and act in favor of our sister Mother Earth: the Common House.
