ANABELA MOREIRA G. CARNEIRO, elected Superior General of the Congregation of the Sisters Hospitallers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Today, 23 May 2012, the Assembly of 43 Sisters representing the Congregation, meeting in Rome (Italy) to celebrate the 20th General Chapter, have elected Sister ANABELA CARNEIRO as the Superior General for the period 2012-2018.

The last day of Chapter

Yesterday, May 27, Pentecost Sunday, the General Chapter drew to a close. We began the day by attending the Eucharist and which Pope Benedict XVI presided in St Peter’s Basilica, together with a huge congregation from every corner of the year.
